Add New Product Field Tips:

  1. Required Fields: Product Title, Size, and Product Description are the only required fields
  2. Size and '# in stock' option: If you elect to sell products directly through GFB, we recommend setting appropriate inventory levels so you do not over-sell an item.
  3. Per Item Shipping option: If you plan to charge for shipping, please include your price here. Set shipping discounts in your Payments/Policies page here.
  4. Local Pickup option: This allows you to offer in-store pickup after shopper completes purchase. This will zero out your 'Per Item Shipping Cost' when selected by customer.
  5. Free Shipping/Sale Item: By selecting these boxes, icons appear on your product page alerting customers appropriately. These are also used in our search sorts, where users can sort by 'Free Shipping' and 'Sale' items.
  6. Men's Product: Check this box if your product is for men only to index correctly.
  7. Must-Have: Showcase up to 12 items on your store front home page.
  8. Product Categories & Tags: These help in indexing your product appropriately.
  9. Create Coupon Code: Set a coupon code name and the appropriate $ or % off the product price to offer incentives.

Add Product in Bulk Tips:

Looking to save time? We suggest using our CSV Bulk Upload as it only takes minutes to learn how to create one if you're not familiar.

Begin by downloading our sample file here.

If you run a POS system, many include an 'Export to Excel' function that allows you export your inventory into an Excel Spreadsheet (when logged in to Intuit for example, click 'File' > 'Utilities' > Export, which you'll then follow the prompts). This will give you a headstart with accurate inventory counts, see our Excel Image below for instructions on Saving File to CSV.

You'll notice the same fields are available in our CSV file as the Add New Product page. Here are a few tips to ensure a smooth CSV upload:

  1. Image Default Column # 1: Please ensure the 'Image Default' column name does not change. You will receive an error message if this is incorrect.
  2. Using image URL's to upload images: If you host your product images elsewhere, simply use the Image URL. For example, our logo URL appears here: http://www.globalfashionbrands.com/images/logo.jpg
  3. All Columns Required: Do not delete any columns from our sample CSV file before uploading yours, otherwise your upload will be unsuccessful.
  4. Required Fields: Product Name, Product Description, and Price.
  5. Upload CSV File: Once you've created your inventory spreadsheet, matched the columns to our sample CSV file, saved as a CSV file, you are ready to upload! On a successful upload, you should see the image below.
  6. Connect Data Feed: To create a regular data feed/FTP connection, please contact us.

Troubleshooting:

The majority of issues from unsuccessful CSV uploads arise from:

Missing product field columns from our sample CSV file
The first column named something other than 'Image Default'
Including empty fields in the CSV file. For example: you are copying and pasting fields from an excel spreadsheet into your CSV file, you may accidentally be including empty/blank fields from the spreadsheet. The easiest way to fix is to highlight the completed fields in your CSV file (including headers), create a new spreadsheet, paste your completed fields, and 'Save As' a CSV file.
